What a Shame
By accident, we took another route to the boat today and came across this:
This boat has apparently been here for 14 years and we know its been somewhat "abandoned" for the last year that we've been here - it's just been left to rot basically.
Apparently, whoever owned the boat was on some farm end moorings but then the farmer moved the boat further down the canal away from his moorings. I'm guessing the farmers fees had stopped being paid. We said only last week when we passed the boat that it was going to sink soon as it had been listing badly for quite a number of months.
Why haven't CRT done anything about this beforehand?! It's not had a valid license (or mooring for god knows how long) and we have a patrol officer come around most weeks. Where is our license fee going??? What happened to enforcement or removal of boats??!?
The amount of oil and rubbish - bottles, cleaning products, tins, gas canisters in the canal is devastating.

Such a sad end for what was once someone's pride and joy. I cannot understand why CRT has left this to flounder either
