Duckling

Well, P headed off this morning at 5AM so its just me and the dog! It'll be a bit strange for the next few days...

I didn't get up to much today apart from walk Eddie a few times, tidy up outside and do a few bits and bobs inside.

It's been 11 degrees here today and really sunny. It felt like spring had arrived early! I love the winter, but have to say I'm looking forward to some warmer weather, some green on the trees and bushes and some lighter nights.

Today made me think that in just a few weeks ( OK.... more like "months" but saying "weeks" makes it feel like less time!), the ducks will be laying eggs. Last year we were in a marina in Manchester and didn't really have any ducks that bred, but we did have plenty of geese.

Where we are now we have hundreds of ducks (not many geese) and I'm already starting to get excited about how tiny and cute the ducklings will be!

Rob comes back tomorrow too fit our kitchen drawers and finish off the gunnels. That should look tidy! I'll try and post some pictures but the camera I use is the camera on P's phone and he's took that with him - iPad photos are awful but I'll see if I can get some half decent shots out of it!

  1. We were at the Macc & Marple last summer< had a wonderful time, so it will be some while yet before we up there again. Our trip now takes us to Paddington/London for the next few months. The fit out is looking lovely. Jacquie
