It was all a bit manic though - the small space on a narrowboat is more obvious when there's 4 of you on board as well bags being unpacked, belated birthday gifts for me being passed round, lunch to prepare, plus the dog wouldn't stop whining!!
He got plenty of attention though with my dad when he'd finally calmed down (after a spell outside!)
We didn't really do much and didn't move to the new mooring yesterday as planned with them as it involved too much work really making sure we had everything on board - all the pots and chairs etc so just at around having a drink and chatting.
They ended up leaving quite a bit later than planned due to a kerfuffle with a taxi not showing up and them missing the train they'd planned to get back to Manchester! It gave us an extra hour together though so that was a bonus!
So thanks for the company and the chocolates.
I got a great prezzie they'd brought over from my brother too! I love it, it's a real "boatie" item. Not sure whether to use it as it was designed for or fill with stones to weigh it down and have it as a decorative item on the gas locker or roof:
Right must head off, today we really ARE heading to the new mooring!
